Knysna lies at the heart of South Africa’s Garden Route and is the ideal town from which to explore the rest of the route’s attractions. Approximately halfway between the major cities of Cape Town and Port Elizabeth on one of the country’s well-kept national highways, the N2, Knysna is a short, breathtakingly beautiful drive away from the airport at George and the private airfield at Plettenberg Bay.

Resting between the calming waters of the Knysna lagoon and the mystery of the indigenous Knysna forest, Knysna boasts with a backyard containing beaches, water based sports and activities, mountains, hills, acres of Cape fynbos and a variety of wildlife.
